About Lloyds Online Doctor

Lloyds Online Doctor launched in July 2013 and was one of the first online doctor services in Ireland. We've treated over two million patients and issued over three million prescriptions in the UK and Ireland. We have a simple goal: to make Irish healthcare more accessible and more affordable.

Our doctors assess patients online, so you don’t need to book an appointment or worry about discussing a sensitive problem with a doctor face-to-face. If you’re suitable for treatment, we’ll send your prescription directly to your local pharmacy, where you can collect it and pay for your treatment.

We provide consultations and prescriptions for a carefully selected set of conditions and regularly review our services to make sure we’re working to the latest clinical guidelines.

How does the service work?

In many ways, our service is just like a normal doctor’s practice. Patients come to our clinic for help on a range of conditions. But what makes Lloyds Online Doctor different is that all of our consultations are online. We treat patients who are 18 and over.

There are three simple steps:

  1. Complete a short medical questionnaire and pay for your prescription online. Our doctors usually confirm your order within an hour during the week. If suitable for the treatment, you’ll receive a notification that your prescription is ready in your Patient Record.
  2. We’ll send your prescription to your chosen local pharmacy. If your order is approved before 4pm, you should be able to pick up and pay for your medication the same day.
  3. If our doctors believe you are not suitable for treatment, they will provide a full refund. If they feel they need more information, they will send you a message in your secure Patient Record which is set up when you register.
